A single accessory mount that connects the Switch console with a Pro Controller for gaming on-the-go, the Fixture S2 lets you take your games anywhere. The Fixture S2 can also be used in tabletop mode – easily transitioning into a super-stable stand for solo or multiplayer gaming.

The mount’s intelligent design can be seen in features such as the patented two-axis, metal friction hinge. So what are our overall thoughts?
When I first read about the release of this product I was struck by the bold assertion from the makers……… “It’s here – the first Fixture mount 100% compatible with the Nintendo Switch OLED Model,” says Austin Stark, founder of Fixture Gaming. “This is a major milestone for the company. OLED Model owners can now enjoy the latest Nintendo console with the Fixture S2; there is no better way to play your Switch games in true portable form. Snap it in place, slide the console in, choose the perfect screen angle – and you’re set!”

A bold assertion indeed…….but also correct.
Well I can say that I would have no doubt in recommending this product. You may never have used the Switch besides in hand-held mode so the Fixture S2 offers a comfortable and enjoyable alternative to that traditional use. It looks good, it works well and robust carrying case is an added bonus to the overall experience.

You also may be wondering if the product supports the original Switch – well the answer is kind of……the original Switch can load onto the mount but the slightly smaller dimensions mean that it isn’t the snuggest of fits. I would recommend using the Fixture S1 as originally designed for. Additionally there may be some wondering whether other consoles would fit the mount – well again the answer is the same …..kind of, as a selection of others I had available could be used….but only with a little fiddling and faddling while never feeling completely snug. So in truth, going with the official pro-controller would be the way to go.
