Some time ago, well the end of March of this year to be exact, the fine folks at Mad Scribe Games were kind enough in offering to send us a physical copy of the inaugural edition of Mad Scribe Magazine – the new indie tabletop gaming magazine. Our thoughts about the product (spoiler alert: we loved it) can be found at the link RIGHT HERE.

Mad Scribe RPG Magazine Issue 2 is a veritable smorgasbord of tabletop gaming goodness. From interviews with indie game designers to reviews of the latest board games, there’s something for everyone in this issue.

The interview with Warpland creator Gavriel Quiroga is particularly insightful, giving readers a behind-the-scenes look at the development of this unique RPG. The article on Hex Studios’ motion picture release of “The Slave & the Sorcerer” is also fascinating, providing a glimpse into the world of tabletop gaming as a visual medium. In fact, the interview is so insightful, it’ll make you want to Warpland right out of your seat. Sorry, ill get my coat.

The article in memorial of Mick Leach, an artist and content creator who used to run the Old School Gamers page (among others) on FaceBook is particularly poignant. Mick also created and managed a miniature manufacturing company named Eastern Front Studios. He was an expert miniature/ diorama sculptor and painter.

Of course, no issue of Mad Scribe RPG Magazine would be complete without a healthy dose of reviews. This issue features reviews of several new board games, including Galleys, Guns & Glory, Ankur Adventures, and Sword & Caravan. These reviews are well-written and informative, providing readers with everything they need to know about these games before they buy them.

Overall, Mad Scribe RPG Magazine Issue 2 is a must-read for any tabletop gamer. It’s packed with great content, from free adventures, short stories interviews to reviews to comics to battle reports. If you’re looking for a magazine that will keep you entertained and informed about the latest in tabletop gaming, then you need to pick up a copy of this issue.
