Their mission: a quest for the elusive, the enigmatic, the nearly forgotten original lyrics of the beloved folk tune “Cotton-Eyed Joe.” This lyrical treasure is rumored to have been entrusted to the eccentric and reclusive family of the local folk legend, the enigmatic Rory Welch.

The Welch clan, with their secrets shrouded in a thick cloak of bayou mystery, offers to unveil this musical enigma, but not without a price. A hefty sum, they demand. A pact sealed with the ink of greed. A deal where the cost may extend far beyond mere currency, where shadows and secrets birthed in the inky waters of the Louisiana swamps will weave a dark, haunting melody that none can forget.

In this immersive and spine-tingling Call of Cthulhu scenario, set in the charmingly nostalgic 1950s, your courage and wits shall be tested in one to two sessions of concentrated gameplay. The cast of investigators, numbering anywhere between three to four souls, shall tread the perilous path of this ominous bargain, dependent on the Keeper’s preference.

To guide you through this intricate and treacherous dance with the unknown, five pre-generated characters are proffered, each holding a unique thread of hope amidst the encroaching darkness.
