I’m delighted to share the plans for running a thrilling roleplaying scenario (well at least that’s the plan) with a new group as the 5D Pop Culture Website teams up with R&S Dyga in Fraserburgh. From uncovering dark conspiracies to facing unimaginable horrors, this promises to be an unforgettable journey into the world of Delta Green RPG. So, grab your dice and join me as I dive into the details of our upcoming adventure!

R&S Dyga is a mainstay of business in Fraserburgh, Scotland – not only is it a store that deals in local gifts, books, greetings cards, stationery & confectionery – but the gaming retreat contains an excellent Tabletop boardgames/wargaming area. The Dyga gaming retreat hosts regular Warhammer 40K tournaments and boasts a fine selection of wargaming, TTRPG and board game goodies.

For those unfamiliar with Delta Green RPG, let me give you a quick rundown. Set in a world of covert operations and supernatural threats, Delta Green places players in the shoes of agents tasked with investigating and neutralising paranormal phenomena. Emerging from the aftermath of the U.S. government’s raid on the troubled coastal town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts in 1928, the clandestine organization known as Delta Green dedicated itself to combating the forces of darkness for over four decades, quietly and without acclaim. However, following a catastrophic operation in Cambodia in 1969, Delta Green faced sanctions and was officially disbanded. Undeterred, the leaders of Delta Green forged a secret pact to continue their mission in the shadows, operating without official authorization, resources, or acknowledgment..

Our adventure will kick off with the scenario REDACTED! , a perfect introduction for a group new to Delta Green. Get ready for a spine-tingling experience filled with suspense, mystery, and plenty of twists and turns. One aspect of our Delta Green adventure that I’m particularly excited about is keeping a diary of our sessions. Each week, I’ll jot down the occasional note, highlights (let’s be optimistic), and memorable moments (namely my terrible attempts at accents) from our gameplay, capturing the evolution of our story as it unfolds. Of course, in order to protect the innocent, not so innocent, and soon to become insane, the players will be known only by their allocated Agent codename.

Not only will this serve as a handy reference for future sessions, but it’ll also provide a wonderful keepsake for our group to look back on and reminisce about our shared experiences……..that’s if they survive the experience or at best manage to avoid going insane from dealing with the unnatural horrors that will inevitably be heading their way…….
