PRESS RELEASE SOURCE: GLASS CANNON NETWORK
*
It has been a wild summer for the GCN, with new shows launching and your old buddies criss-crossing the Naish-on to bring our special brand of fun and excitement to the people. In just a few short days, we will be hosting our very first booth at Gen Con 2022. Every day of the show, we will come to you live with hours of content right from the show floor, broadcast from our pop-up recording studio. You read that right—we are building a Twitch studio on the exhibition floor of Gen Con. It’s time to show the larger gaming world what you already know—that nobody brings the heat like the GCN.
But wait, there’s more! We are doing not one but two shows at Gen Con itself, and if that wasn’t enough, we are also doing two Glass Cannon Live! shows at Helium Comedy Club just steps away from the Convention Center. Could this be the biggest week in the history of the Network? How about we call it the biggest week yet!

We have some fine friends who helped bring our vision of broadcasting live from the show floor of Gen Con to life. A big thanks to Patreon, Paizo, Chaosium, Syrinscape, Demiplane, Norse Foundry, Evil Hat Productions and One Seven Design Studio. Read on to find out how we’ve teamed up with them to produce one-of-a-kind content LIVE from Gen Con 2022 and stay tuned for the release of the full schedule in the coming days as well as each cast!

Everyone knows that our good friends at Paizo have been an integral part of the Network since Day 1. Not only are they one of this year’s sponsors, but we are going to play some Pathfinder 2E and have Erik Mona LIVE on Cannon Fodder right from the booth! You do not want to miss a minute of what we have up our sleeves, so make sure you have our Twitch page pinned or your hot takes will be, at best, lukewarm by the time you hit the Discord.
Join us to kick off the con on Thursday at 10:15AM and to close the con Sunday at 2:30PM for some Pathfinder 2E action featuring new classes and adventures from the soon-to-be-released Dark Archive book. Then, Mona stops by Fodder with Joeon 12:30PM Friday. Stop by the Paizo Booth #203 to see all the latest from one of the best in the business—a company whose monster design is so good that Dungeons & Dragons featured it on the poster for their new movie!

One booth was not enough to hold all of the awesomeness that our pals at Norse Foundry have on tap for Gen Con 2022, so you can find them this year at booths #563 AND #2703. Not only are we super pumped for you to see the new color variants Norse Foundry cooked up for the Naish in person at our booth, but you had better make stopping by their booths a priority on day one to snag one of their exclusive Gen Con 2022 dice sets. Those will not last long. And if you are lucky enough to get your hands on them, bring them on by our booth for bragging rights. Tune in on Thursday at 12:30PM as Joe sits down with Drew and Eric from Norse Foundry to talk about all the exciting stuff happening at the dice factory!

If you have ever wondered how we took our shows from sounding amazing to sounding fucking amazing, the answer is simple—Syrinscape. The audio wizards and warlocks at Syrinscape can turn a normal sesh into one that your friends will always remember—with sound effects, music and campaign-specific sound packs, they offer something for GMs of every level and disposition. Stop by Syrinscape booth #1740, and get ready to have your minds blown.
On Friday at 4:30PM, tune in on Twitch as we play the horror/Jenga tower RPG Dread while featuring music from Syrinscape!

We are pretty into the Great Old Ones around these parts. But enough about what we do in dark basements on Friday night with our “church friends.” We also enjoy the world-renowned Call of Cthulhu RPG from Chaosium. These folks are old-school TTRPG designers, with CoC celebrating its 41st anniversary this year. To put that in perspective, Skid was just a simple second-year grad student when the first edition came out. We will play a trio of Chaosium demos, including Call of Cthulhu, RuneQuest and 7th Sea on Thursday at 1:45PM, and Jared Logan himself will run an original Call of Cthulhu game on Saturday at 2:00PM.
When you’re not crowding around our booth, stop by Chaosium Booth #411 and make sure to tell them Troy said “ph’nglui mglw’nafh.” They’ll know what it means.

Demiplane is giving players a new way to discover, share and play their favorite TTRPGs. With a digital toolset, chat, voice and video all integrated into one platform, they are streamlining the process of online tabletop play. It’s free to sign up and try out, and new game systems are being announced all the time, including Pathfinder 2E, Free League Publishing games and World of Darkness. Speaking of which, join us at 10:15AM on Sunday for Vampire: The Masquerade live, featuring the new WoD toolsets from Demiplane, and Saturday at 10:15AM, Demiplane CDO Adam Bradford stops by the booth to talk about all the exciting things coming to the Nexus.
*
Evil Hat Productions has teamed up with Blades in the Dark creator John Harper and his One Seven Design Studio to sponsor the booth this year as well. You know we’re big fans of everything they do, so tune in or stop by the booth Saturday morning at 11:30AM as we play Scum and Villainy for the first time! It’s Blades in the Dark in space hosted by our very own Jared Logan!

Rise and grind gamers! After a night of shocking and delighting The Naish at Helium Comedy Club, the guys will be getting those worms, as they say; specifically, they will host The Glass Cannon Ultimate Roleplaying Challenge-Quest of the Stars in the Westin’s Grand Ballroom V at 10:00AM on Friday, August 5th. In this live interactive event, your favorites from the GCN will challenge each other to complete various roleplaying game-related trials designed to stump, confound and humiliate!
And you, the audience, get to play along! It’s either the most genius live event ever offered at a convention of this kind or the stupidest. Come and judge for yourself! Only a few tickets are still available for this event that you can only ever see if you’re in the room that day.
*
The second show is SOLD OUT, but let’s brag about it anyway. On Friday at 2:00PM in ICC 101–103, join Troy, Skid, Matthew, Josephine McAdam and Jared Logan for The Glass Cannon Network Presents Blades in the Dark LIVE! GM Jared Logan will go into the audience for suggestions, making the entire adventure interactive. Watch as they portray criminals in a haunted Victorian city powered by demon blood! The audience will help the game master brainstorm various details, including the mission these crooks take on. This one-of-a-kind live event will have them rolling in the aisles…with knives in their backs! To those of you who got tickets, you are in for a good time as The Busted Mufflers make their long-awaited RETURN to Gen Con!
*
We looked at the Gen Con schedule and said to ourselves, “Producing only 30+ hours of content from the show floor and two live shows at Gen Con itself seems like the coward’s way out. The Naish deserves better!” So we are going to be in them streets. On Thursday, August 4th, from the show floor to center stage at Helium Comedy Club, watch the guys bring the energy and enthusiasm they have drained like succubi from the attendees of Gen Con straight to you! Only a handful of general admission tickets remain for this 8:00PM show on Thursday night. Then, two days later, the rarest of shows for the GCN—a matinee!
The gang will come straight from a bottomless brunch to another show at Helium Comedy Club Saturday afternoon at 2:00PM. Who had bloodies and who had mimosas? You’ll just have to come to the show to find out. VIP and General Admission tickets are still available, but they’re going fast!
