Welcome to the latest ’5D Pop Culture Website Pick Of The Week Award’, the opportunity to share something in the world of Pop Culture (usually, but not exclusively RPG-related). This week’s choice falls well and truly within of the RPG universe and will shortly be on my own ’to buy’ list on the DriveThruRPG link below.
And while the ’5D Pop Culture Website Pick Of The Week Award’ may not be; a) The most prestigious award in the TTRPG community, or b) A snappy, concise award title – well, it will be something we take rather seriously at 5DHQ as we fastidiously wade through the plethora of weekly releases.
And while there may be no review, or even more importantly, no prize, there is the knowledge that the winner has our undying love and adoration…..though not in a creepy way, obviously.
Pacific Horror [BUNDLE]
This special bundle product contains the following titles.
A Dive to Strange Depths
The undersea research vessel Fairweather II has not reported back at the expected time to the Pearl Harbor marina. A derelict ship had been spotted adrift not far from the area that was being researched. Authorities have swung into action to figure out what happened. However, what they find when they get to the abandoned boat defies explanation. Bullet holes and spent ammo casings speak to an attack, but gore encased in bioluminescent slime, and marks that could not have been made by anything short of some huge tentacled creature speak to something else entirely. The covert nature of what was being researched out in an empty part of the Pacific is blown wide open, as rumors of sunken treasure, holy relics, and even the lost city of Atlantis circulate
The Forbidden Door
Kauai rises out of the pacific shrouded in mist and jungle. Strange things have been reported by lifelong residents and tourists alike. Lights aglow in strange colors upon the mountains, nocturnal insects buzzing in ways that sound like speech. Unnamed men on the roads at night keeping people from traveling to remote destinations.
Private investigator Brian Cray needs your help if he is going to find notable Archaeologist Robert Lockwood and his research assistant. Leads are growing thin and a trek out to the research camp high up upon the Napali coast might be the only move left if he is going to find some answers, and he doesn’t want to go it alone.
You’ve dreamt about a door under the island. A door in the darkness. Is that what Lockwood discovered? Is that why he is missing?
Pack your bags, you’re about to find out!
