Golarion is a big, dangerous place. You’ve never left the small village you’re from, most people you know haven’t. In fact, most people who decide to travel away are never seen again. The powerful magic wards set up generations ago protect your village, the surrounding area, and the few other small villages nearby. Venturing beyond those barriers is nearly unheard of for anyone other than the town elders who have attained a level of power and prowess sufficient enough to survive at least brief journeys outside the ancient protections. They invariably return haggard and with nightmarish stories of the dangers which lie beyond.

The village of Crestwell has spent millennia behind a powerful magic barrier, completely cut off from the evils of the outside world. When a cult of vampires somehow pass through the barrier and attack during the village’s autumn festival, the survivors are left reeling. As some of the only people left standing, it’s up to the players to track down the cult, save their friends, and put a stop to the mastermind behind it all.
