The support band for Terrorvision are notable for their unusual quirk, all of their songs are about Inga Hauser, a murdered 18 year old, as I explained in my preview piece: Keeley: Their album & some words

My husband obviously had not read this as he was surprised, when Keeley explained this obsession she has, and leaned over and said “weird”. It does lead to some interesting lyrics as we heard in the set list which included Forever Frozen and Galloway Princess. The band are a dynamic trio of very talented musicians. They perform well together with enthusiasm and enjoyment, as Luke and Keeley share the patter in-between songs. Their new single is out on the 4th October from their second album. They are also lovely people, happy to meet the audience at the end of the set and discuss music, libraries or wherever the conversation may go!

Terrorvision may be 35 years old, as a band, but they are still as energetic as ever as we step into the “Terrorvision time machine” and enjoy songs from their extensive back catalogue. The older songs took me back to the Mudd Club in my uni days jumping around like a crazy thing to Josephine, Baby Blue and Middleman.

Tony Wright, the lead singer said that back in the day attendance to their gigs had started to wane and then they realised that people were getting mortgages, having babies and doing all that boring real life stuff! But now we are all back, and some people had even brought those children with them. These teenage boys that would have been brought up listening to the music their parents loved to mosh to, were now there with them. Later when Tony asks us to take out lighters for Some People Say, to give the atmosphere of an arena, he was amused by the number of parents looking surprised that their offspring had such an item in their pocket!

The modern material was a bit noticeable for the trend of caring about mental health with songs like Shine On, Bleecker Street and The Night That Lemmy Died. Although thinking about it, we were all concerned about Alice many years ago!
*
Fabulous night in a sold out Lemon Tree, where Tony was glad to get back to standing on speakers and swinging from the scaffolding pole! When he was told they were playing the Lemon Tree he immediately remembered this unique stage. Even when he swinging over the crowd at the end the crowd were there loving it with him.

Haste ye back lads, do not leave it so long, and I am sure hubby’s friend was not the only one who would like to hear Tequila live next time please!
