The ATGP treatment has activated some of these DNA sequences, allowing access to ancient technologies such as the gateways. * Advantages and Disadvantages – Players can gain special abilities to enhance their characters, such as Combat Shooting, Eagle-Eyed, Combat Medicine, Ancient Expert, Linguist, and many more. * Mental Fatigue Points are the reserve of self-control a character has during a game. You can think of Mental Fatigue as their pool of “coolness” in a game session. When players are exposed to combat, shocks, verbal fights between players, emotional trauma, physical trauma, psychic powers, and just the unknown horrors of the gateways, it can all wear down a player’s psyche. If a player runs out of Mental Fatigue Points, they start taking Sanity loss on failed Mental Toughness Rolls. * Mental Toughness Roll checks to see if a player can endure the situation and still act in a “normal” fashion. If the test is passed, then the player can act without any restrictions. If the test is failed, based on the amount of the failure the results can be debilitating effects plus the loss of Mental Fatigue Points. *Episodic Game Play – Gateways into Madness is an Episodic Table Top Role Playing game designed from the ground up to have both gritty modern / horror realism within a series of short adventures. * Weapons, Drones, Equipment, Creatures, Adventures, and so much more! |
